Delegation from Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore Visits Our University

On the morning of September 21, a five-member delegation led by Chan Wei Ming, Principal and CEO of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), Singapore, visited Beijing Polytechnic University (BPU). Wang Wei, Deputy Party Secretary and President of BPU, received the delegation. The meeting was hosted by Chen Jiangfeng, Member of the University Party Committee Standing Committee and Vice President of BPU.

President Wang Wei noted that BPU and Nanyang Polytechnic have built a solid cooperative foundation. The BPU delegation visited NYP last year, and the university has received three training groups from NYP in 2026, laying a solid foundation for further in-depth cooperation. Looking forward, based on existing cooperative achievements, both sides will explore expanded disciplinary cooperation, smoother academic advancement pathways, diversified exchange mechanisms and joint development research, contributing to the high-quality development of vocational education in China and Singapore.

Chan Wei Ming introduced the development overview of Nanyang Polytechnic and reviewed the bilateral cooperation progress. He expressed sincere gratitude for BPU’s warm reception. Based on the long-standing and sound cooperative relationship, he hoped to deepen and sustain bilateral cooperation in faculty collaboration, student exchange, credit mutual recognition, practical training and joint participation in international skills competitions.

The Office of International Cooperation and Exchange presented BPU’s international education development status and achievements. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on the implementation of future cooperation projects, including joint skills competitions and joint talent training programs.

Before the meeting, the delegation visited the University Engineering Training Centre and practical training venues of relevant schools. Personnel from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Economics and Management, School of Art and Design, and School of International Education participated in the event.
