Participants of the Belt‑and‑Road Countries Education Leadership Enhancement Inbound Training Programme from the Global Education Leadership Institute, National Academy of Education Administration Visit Our University

September 15 (Morning): A 43‑member delegation of the Belt‑and‑Road Countries Education Leadership Enhancement Inbound Training Programme, jointly run by the Global Education Leadership Institute under the National Academy of Education Administration, visited our university. Chen Jiangfeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice‑President, received the delegation.

Chen Jiangfeng stated that receiving the training participants marks an important initiative of our university to serve national diplomatic priorities and support Beijing’s development as an international exchange hub. It also offers a valuable opportunity to share experience and deepen cooperation with education practitioners from various countries. Taking this exchange as a new starting point, the university hopes to further strengthen collaboration, exchange educational experience, jointly address challenges, boost educational development among Belt‑and‑Road countries, and contribute wisdom and strength to building a community with a shared future for mankind.

Heikki Saastamoinen, President of South‑Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, noted that amid globalisation, strengthening international educational cooperation and cultivating high‑calibre talents with global vision and cross‑cultural competence has become an inevitable trend for higher‑education development. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hoped to carry out in‑depth cooperation with the university across more fields.

Yu Haixia, Deputy Dean of the School of International Education, delivered a thematic report entitled “Industry‑Education Integration and Talent Cultivation in the Digital Era”. Both sides then held in‑depth discussions centring on this theme.

Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited practical‑training facilities including the School of Art & Design, School of Integrated Circuits, School of Automotive Engineering and the Engineering Training Centre.

Relevant staff from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Continuing Education and Information Centre attended the event.
