On the afternoon of July 23, a delegation led by Alexander Sergeevich Anokin, Vice Rector of Kurgan State University, and Andrei Alexandrovich Girsankin, also Vice Rector, visited the School of Bioengineering of Beijing Polytechnic University, where the two sides held a seminar on Sino-foreign cooperative education and supporting research collaboration. Ma Jun, Director of the Division of International Cooperation &Exchange of Beijing Polytechnic University, Chen Liang, Dean of the School of Bioengineering, and key faculty members of the school attended the seminar.
On behalf of the school, Chen Liang extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced the school's disciplinary development and research platforms. The Russian vice rectors presented Kurgan State University's strengths and its international cooperation efforts, expressing their willingness to deepen collaboration.
The two sides had in-depth exchanges on future directions for cooperation and reached broad consensus on jointly cultivating internationalized talent, building joint laboratories, and conducting research collaboration. They will focus on common areas of strength such as microorganism-synthesized food ingredients and biopharmaceutical technology, and explore pathways including faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and integrated bachelor's–master's programs, while advancing in parallel the application for a joint Belt and Road laboratory.
The seminar further enhanced mutual trust and understanding between the two sides, laying a solid foundation for future international cooperation at multiple levels and across a wide range of fields.
