School of International Education Holds Mid-Term Symposium for Teachers of International Students

To further improve the quality of education and teaching for international students and optimize student management and services, the School of International Education held a mid-term symposium for teachers delivering courses to international students on May 15. Relevant school leaders, teacher representatives and counselor representatives attended the meeting.

During the symposium, participants conducted in-depth discussions on the implementation of teaching content, arrangement of practical training programs, classroom and daily management, and the improvement of Chinese language proficiency among international students. Based on the actual teaching and management practices for international students, attendees put forward targeted opinions and suggestions on strengthening classroom discipline and boosting overall teaching effectiveness.

Yu Haixia, Vice Dean of the School of International Education, carefully listened to all feedback and provided on-site responses and exchanges on common issues existing in the teaching and management of international students. She stated that the school will fully review and adopt the professional suggestions put forward by participants, continuously strengthen inter-departmental collaboration, effectively promote the construction of a rigorous academic atmosphere for international students, foster a sound educational environment, and steadily elevate the quality of teaching and talent cultivation for international students.

The symposium further consolidated consensus on the teaching and management of international student education. Moving forward, the School of International Education will systematically sort out and summarize the opinions collected at the meeting, continuously optimize the teaching and management system for international students, and advance the high-quality development of the university’s international student education programs.
