From April 13 to 18, the School of Art and Design of Beijing Polytechnic University successfully hosted the study tour and training program for Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore. A total of 26 teachers and students from Nanyang Polytechnic visited the university. Through intangible cultural heritage experiences, cultural research studies, enterprise visits and field investigations, they immersed themselves in the charm of fine traditional Chinese culture, explored innovative approaches to the revitalization of intangible cultural heritage, and embarked on an international exchange and study journey featuring profound cultural depth and professional value.

On April 14, at the program opening ceremony, Chen Jiangfeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the university and wished the program a great success. He pointed out that internationalized schooling is an important direction for the high-quality development of the university. This study tour serves as a key initiative for the two institutions to deepen educational cooperation and build a bridge for youth exchanges. He hoped that young people from both countries would take this study tour as a bond to learn from each other, broaden their horizons, enhance friendship through cultural integration, and achieve joint growth.

Centering on the main theme of "practical experience + cultural research", the delegation experienced a series of intangible cultural heritage crafts including ceramic clay sculpture, blue calico, cloisonné craftsmanship and Chinese calligraphy, perceiving the ingenuity, inheritance and innovation of traditional handicrafts through hands-on practice. Teachers and students also visited the Capital Museum, Nanluoguxiang, Dongyun Silk Art Museum and BOE Technology Group to conduct special research on "cultural and creative design and digital innovation", gaining systematic insight into Beijing’s historical and cultural heritage, cultural and creative industries, and achievements in modern scientific and technological development.

A friendship event for Chinese and Singaporean students was also held during the program. Young participants from both sides freely exchanged learning experiences and shared local cultural characteristics, forging profound friendship in a relaxed and harmonious atmosphere.
The six-day study tour and training came to a successful conclusion. At the closing ceremony, Zhang Xiaogang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, presented completion certificates to all participants and delivered a closing speech. He stated that the university is willing to share curriculum resources with Nanyang Polytechnic, and hoped that young people from both sides would participate in WorldSkills competitions together and build international competence through cross-border projects.

Student and faculty representatives from Nanyang Polytechnic shared their reflections and gains from the study tour, and expressed sincere gratitude to the university for its thoughtful reception and well-organized curriculum arrangement.
The successful holding of this study tour and training program is a vivid practice for Beijing Polytechnic University to implement its international development strategy and expand the opening-up of vocational education.
