To standardize the administration of international students, help overseas students fully understand campus rules and regulations, strengthen their awareness of rules, and adapt to campus life at an early date, the School of International Education held a special briefing on relevant rules, regulations and policy documents on April 22. Relevant faculty members, class tutors for international students, and all enrolled international students attended the meeting.

At the briefing, the speaker emphasized the importance of campus rules and disciplines for the personal development of international students and campus stability. Combined with official policy documents, she gave a systematic interpretation of key concerns among international students. Based on real campus life scenarios and typical cases, she elaborated on regulations concerning student status administration, dormitory management, cybersecurity and other matters. She clarified the criteria for identifying disciplinary violations and corresponding penalties regarding campus order, dormitory and fire safety, and online code of conduct. She also explained in detail the procedures and precautions for visa application and residence permit modification, and answered questions from international students on site.

The special briefing serves as an important measure for the university to strengthen standardized management of international students and improve the quality of international education. It has effectively enhanced international students’ awareness of rules and the rule of law, laying a solid foundation for building a safe, civilized and internationalized campus. Moving forward, the school will carry out regular publicity and education on campus rules and disciplines, improve the management and service system, and support international students to study with peace of mind and achieve academic success.
