From August 18 to 22, the Textile and Apparel Track (Higher Vocational Group) of the World Vocational College Skills Competition Finals concluded successfully at Chengdu Textile College. The student team majoring in Fashion Design and Technology from our school performed excellently in the competition, securing the third place in the group's total score and winning the bronze medal.
With the theme of "Showcasing Youth through Skills, Creating the Future with Abilities", this year's competition set up 42 competition tracks. The Textile and Apparel Track (Higher Vocational Group) closely aligns with national strategies and the needs of industrial transformation and upgrading, covering multiple important fields such as the textile industry, garment and apparel industry, and specialized equipment manufacturing industry. This track attracted 77 representative teams from 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government across the country to compete on the same stage, resulting in intense competition.

Our school's award-winning team consists of four students: Pan Wenchao, Wang Chenlei, Tian Yuan and Li Ying, and was guided by two teachers, Wang Mingjie and Ma Ying. During the preparation period, the teacher-student team of the fashion major voluntarily gave up their vacation breaks and devoted themselves wholeheartedly to intensive preparation from the team selection and formation to the official participation in the competition. In the participating project "Intelligent Chinese Garments - Digital and Intelligent Innovation Technology for Qipao", the team won the recognition of the judges with its advanced application of digital and intelligent technology, distinct characteristics of inheritance and innovation, and excellent team collaboration ability. During the competition, the team demonstrated solid professional skills as well as the educational strength of the Fashion Design and Technology major through on-site explanations and work presentations.
