From August 15 to 22, the 2025 TI Cup National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition National Final Evaluation was held at Dalian University of Technology. As one of the most prestigious and influential academic competitions in China's electronic information field, this final evaluation brought together 507 elite teams from nearly 200 universities across the country to compete. After multiple rounds of intense competition and rigorous review, our school's participating teams stood out with their solid professional foundation, innovative design ideas and tacit cooperation capabilities, ultimately winning 1 National First Prize (1.79%), and 2 National Second Prizes (5.09%) in the Higher Vocational College Group. Behind this achievement is the support of the school's leaders at all levels, the overall coordination of the Engineering Training Center, and the cross-college collaborative guidance model where instructors from the School of Aeronautical Engineering and the School of Integrated Circuits (School of Artificial Intelligence) broke down inter-college barriers and helped each other. This vividly demonstrates the distinctive feature of our school's "collaborative education".

The National Undergraduate Electronic Design Competition is jointly initiated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Held every two years, the national competition adopts a three-level selection mechanism: "provincial division evaluation, comprehensive evaluation, and national final evaluation". It comprehensively assesses students' professional capabilities and overall quality from three core dimensions: theoretical innovation, engineering practice, and team collaboration. The scale of the 2025 competition reached a new high, with 22,586 teams from 1,161 universities participating nationwide. The results of the competition are not only a core reflection of the quality of talent cultivation in universities, but also an important basis for the industry to select high-quality technical talents. Its intensity of competition and authority are widely recognized by all sectors.

Our school's award-winning teams in this competition cover three colleges: the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, the School of Aeronautical Engineering, and the School of Integrated Circuits (School of Artificial Intelligence). The instructors are from the Engineering Training Center, the School of Aeronautical Engineering, and the School of Integrated Circuits (School of Artificial Intelligence). Instructors from different units gave full play to their professional advantages and helped each other, laying a solid foundation for the teams to win awards. The specific award-winning details are as follows:

Since the launch of the competition, the school has attached great importance to it and made overall plans. In the Beijing Division competition, our school sent a total of 18 teams to participate, winning 3 municipal first prizes, 3 municipal second prizes, and 5 municipal third prizes, with an award rate as high as 61%. Among them, the 3 teams that won the first prize advanced to the comprehensive evaluation to compete for the qualification to enter the national competition. Finally, 1 team stood out and won the qualification for the national final evaluation. In the national final evaluation, our school's representative teams faced the competition calmly and performed steadily, fully demonstrating their solid professional knowledge, excellent innovative design capabilities, and outstanding team spirit, and finally won the National First Prize.

This series of awards is a vivid practice of the school's teaching philosophy of "promoting learning through competitions, promoting teaching through competitions, and promoting reform through competitions", and confirms the scientificity and effectiveness of the school's professional teaching quality and talent training model. Taking this as a new starting point, the school will continue to deepen the reform of education and teaching, optimize the cross-college collaborative education mechanism, promote in-depth alignment of teaching resources with industry needs, and continuously improve the quality of school running and teaching. It will continue to strive to cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents, move forward steadily on the path of vocational education supporting the construction of the national skilled talent team, and contribute more to industrial development and social progress.
