University Holds Special Meeting on Internationalized School Running

On the morning of June 22, the university held a special meeting on internationalized school running, together with the 2026 scholarship review meeting for publicly-sponsored overseas student exchange programs. Chen Jiangfeng, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, attended and delivered a speech.

      Chen Jiangfeng affirmed the efforts made by all overseas exchange groups, inquired about studentsadaptation to overseas study and life, and encouraged students to strengthen English learning and consolidate the language foundation for international exchanges. He emphasized that overseas exchange programs serve as a key approach for the university to cultivate international talents. The university will adhere to professional orientation, select exchange students in a targeted manner, and continuously optimize the connotation and forms of exchange programs. Efforts will be made to build the programs into comprehensive education platforms integrating academic training, cultural exchange and competency improvement, providing solid support for the universitys further opening-up in education and the implementation of the national education internationalization strategy.

At the meeting, Huang Jiachen, leader of the 2026 winter vacation overseas student group, reported the implementation status of the overseas exchange program, comprehensively presenting studentsacademic achievements and overall performance during their overseas studies. Bai Zhuoqun from the Student Affairs Department introduced the scholarship application situation and preliminary review results. Subsequently, members of the scholarship management committee conducted in-depth discussions on review criteria and procedures to ensure fair and impartial evaluation results.

The meeting was attended by principals from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchanges, Student Affairs Department, Academic Affairs Office, Finance Office, Audit Office, and personnel in charge of international education work from all secondary colleges. The meeting also updated the registration and preparation progress of the 2026 summer vacation overseas student exchange groups.

The holding of this meeting marks a more standardized and refined management of the universitys publicly-sponsored overseas exchange scholarship work. Looking ahead, the university will further improve the student selection mechanism and expand international cooperation layouts, empowering more students to broaden their global vision and grow into competitive talents with global competence for the new era.
