On the afternoon of April 8, Beijing Polytechnic University’s Qingming Poetry Recital, themed "Two Sessions Inspire New Chapters, Poetry Chanting Expresses Chinese Hearts", was solemnly held in the Library Lecture Hall. Liu Rong, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, heads of the University Youth League Committee and Deputy Secretaries of Party Committees of all secondary colleges attended the event, witnessing this poetic cultural feast together with teacher and student representatives from all colleges of the university. The event was hosted by the University Youth League Committee and undertaken by the School of Economics and Management and the University Library.

The core segment of the poetry recital—the Feihua Ling (Poetic Keyword Challenge) competition—attracted teams from eight colleges to compete on the same stage. The contest consisted of three stages: preliminary, semi-final and final, with the keywords being "flower", "spring", "moon" and "nation" in sequence. In the preliminary round (eight teams advancing to four), contestants delivered brilliant lines featuring the keyword "flower", and the top four teams stood out. In the first round of the semi-finals with "spring" as the keyword, the School of Bioengineering and the School of Aeronautical Engineering successfully advanced to the final, while the School of Automotive Engineering and the School of Economics and Management competed for the third place. The atmosphere was intense and exciting; contestants remained calm, full of wit and creativity, winning waves of applause. Ultimately, the School of Bioengineering won the championship, the School of Aeronautical Engineering took the runner-up position, and the School of Automotive Engineering claimed third place.

During the breaks in the competition, Teacher Li Chunzhu from the Wugou Humanities Practice Society shared insights on Qingming culture. Teacher Hu Wenli from the Library and Liu Yiyang, President of the Reader Association, jointly shared reading methods and experiences. International student representatives also took to the stage to recite verses from the poem Qingming, and chanted classic lines in unison with the entire audience: "An idle youth, a needy age" and "The bright moon rises over the sea; we share this moment, though far apart", expressing their sincere aspiration to engage in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in the future.

The poetry recital was interspersed with a number of elaborately arranged cultural performances, adding a strong artistic atmosphere to the intense competition.
This poetry recital was not only a contest of poetry, but also a vivid ideological and political lesson on culture. Participants encountered splendor in "flowers", felt vitality in "spring", placed sentiments in "the moon", and understood responsibility through "nation". Students absorbed wisdom in the ocean of poetry and strengthened their beliefs in the inheritance of culture.
As the event concluded, the fragrance of books lingered. Teachers and students moved to three specially arranged themed zones in the Library—"Ancient Poetry", "Qingming Festival" and "Chinese Heart"—to read selected excellent books together. The blend of scholarly charm and poetic rhythm drew a warm and fulfilling conclusion to this spring poetry recital.

Moving forward, the university will continue to take the essence of traditional Chinese culture as its foundation, guide and unite young people, and write youthful chapters of cultural confidence in the new era in the name of youth.
