BPU Was Invited to AIIB-WB Workshop and Hosts Visit by Thai Vocational Education Delegation

On the morning of October 27th, Chen Jiangfeng, Vice President of Beijing Polytechnic University, was invited to attend the AIIB-WB Workshop themed "Building an Efficient Skills Development System in China" held at the Beijing headquarters of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). He exchanged views on the university's development history and achievements with relevant leaders from the Department of Vocational and Adult Education and the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, as well as members of the visiting Thai Higher Education Delegation and education experts from the World Bank (WB) and AIIB.

Both parties conducted in-depth discussions on professional program development, talent training, university-enterprise cooperation and other aspects.

Chen Jiangfeng stated that China and Thailand are not only neighbors but also partners, with close exchanges in the field of vocational education. Last month, a delegation from the university visited Thailand, held friendly negotiations with Krirk University and Thailand China International School, and signed cooperation framework agreements to carry out cooperation projects such as teacher-student exchanges and Thai students coming to China for studies. He also expressed full expectations for in-depth cooperation with Thailand and various international partners in the future.

Komawut, Director of the Vocational Education Standards and Qualifications Bureau of the Office of the Vocational Education Commission of Thailand, expressed gratitude for the warm reception from the university. He hoped to carry out practical cooperation in areas such as teacher-student exchanges, curriculum co-construction, and joint scientific research, jointly explore international cooperation models in vocational education, and contribute to promoting the prosperity and development of vocational education in China and Thailand.

Before the forum, the Thai Vocational Education Delegation visited the internship and training venues of the School of Bioengineering, the School of Automotive Engineering and the School of Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. Relevant personnel from the Department of Academic Affairs, the Division of International Cooperation &Exchange (Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs), and the School of International Education also participated in this activity.
