Teachers and Students of Beijing Polytechnic University Win First Prize in National Vocational College Aircraft Intelligent Manufacturing Competition

From March 29 to 30, the 2025 National Vocational College Invitational Competition on Aircraft Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering and Application Technology successfully concluded at Shanghai Industrial Technology School. With the theme of "Building a Powerful Aerospace Nation and Promoting Industry-Education Integration," the competition adopted interdisciplinary team formation and applied the whole-process control concepts of aerospace intelligent manufacturing technology—covering design, process, manufacturing, measurement, assembly-adjustment, and testing—to achieve in-depth integration of intelligence, digitalization, and networking. Its aim is to cultivate outstanding technical and skilled talents for enterprises and build a team of on-site manufacturing engineers with composite capabilities. The competition set up 5 events in total, attracting 74 teams and nearly 200 teachers and students from 12 provinces and municipalities across the country to compete on the same stage.

The teacher-student team from Beijing Polytechnic University, composed of Ning Yuansong (a teacher from the Engineering Training Center) and Wang Jiamu (a student from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering), participated in the "Aircraft Component Design, Manufacturing and Application" event. Relying on solid professional knowledge, exquisite operational skills, and tacit team cooperation, they stood out from numerous participating teams and won the first prize. This achievement fully demonstrates the school’s teaching results in relevant professional fields and the practical abilities of its students.

As an important platform for vocational education innovation and practice, the Engineering Training Center will take this breakthrough as a new starting point. It will continue to improve the integrated education system of "post-course-competition-certificate-research-innovation"—by optimizing the structure of engineering practice courses, strengthening school-enterprise collaborative innovation, and establishing a training mechanism for high-level technical and skilled talents. Through these measures, the center will comprehensively improve the quality of technical and skilled talent cultivation, and strive to deliver more high-quality composite technical and skilled talents for the cause of building a powerful country and national rejuvenation.
