2026 International Student Scholarship Implementation Plan

To attract and cultivate outstanding international talent, and in line with our 2026 international student recruitment and training practices, this Scholarship Implementation Plan is hereby formulated. This plan serves as a supplementary document to the 2026 Admission Brochure for International Students of Beijing Vocational University of Science and Technology and applies exclusively to full-time international students enrolling in the fall semester of 2026.

I. General Principles

The university adopts a “categorized financial support” scholarship model for international students, aiming to reduce the financial burden on outstanding students while ensuring the proper and efficient use of the university’s educational resources. International students are required to pay the stipulated fees in accordance with university regulations. Eligible students may apply for and receive the corresponding category of scholarship. Scholarship evaluation and disbursement shall be conducted in an open, fair, and standardized manner.

II. Scope of Application and Program Categories

This plan applies to the following three categories of international students:

1. Bachelor’s degree students (4-year vocational undergraduate programs, hereinafter referred to as “undergraduate students”);

2. Diploma students (3-year higher vocational diploma programs, hereinafter referred to as ”diploma students”);

3. Preparatory students (1-year preparatory program, hereinafter referred to as “preparatory students”).

III. Scholarship Categories and Funding Standards

The university has established scholarships with the following funding standards:

1. Undergraduate students: RMB 31,600/person/academic year for engineering programs; RMB 35,600/person/academic year for art programs.

2. Diploma students: RMB 18,000/person/academic year.

3. Preparatory students: RMB 27,600/person/academic year.

IV. Eligibility Requirements

2. Complete registration within the prescribed time and pay the full tuition and accommodation fees for the current academic year on time;

3. Comply with Chinese laws and regulations as well as university rules and discipline, and have no record of legal or disciplinary violations;

4. Be in good health, free from serious illness, and able to meet the requirements of studying in China.

V. Annual Review Regulations

To ensure the effectiveness of scholarship utilization and the quality of talent cultivation, the university implements an annual review system for enrolled undergraduate students.

1. The review covers academic performance, attendance, conduct, and compliance with laws and regulations, among other aspects.

2. Students who pass the review will receive the scholarship for the current academic year; those who fail the review will have their scholarship eligibility suspended or revoked.

3. The preparatory program is one year in duration. If a student commits serious violation of law or discipline or fails to meet academic standards, the university will recover all or part of the scholarship already disbursed.

VI. Disbursement Procedure

1. At the beginning of each academic year, students shall pay the full tuition and accommodation fees according to the fee standards within the time specified by the university.

2. The university will determine the list of scholarship recipients and the respective amounts based on students’ payment, registration status, and review results.

3. The scholarship funds will be transferred directly to the student’ s personal bank account by the university’s Finance Office.

4. The specific disbursement schedule is subject to university notification.

VII. Handling of Changes in Status

If a student encounters any of the following circumstances after being awarded the scholarship, the university will, depending on the situation, suspend, reduce, or reclaim the scholarship:

3. The School International Education of BPU is responsible for the interpretation of this plan.
